Cathy Tutton
Cathy is an Artist and Art Tutor based in Canterbury. She has previously been Head of Art at CATS International College, Course Leader for the Foundation Degree in Art Practice, BA Fine Art Lecturer at Canterbury College and a freelance Creative Practitioner for Creative Partnerships.
Cathy has exhibited work that explores many themes, including: Transition, Fragmentation, Altered Egos and Layering. She embraces a variety of media; drawing, painting, film, photography, installation, textiles, sculpture from found objects, paper, cardboard, and ceramics.
Cathy has recently returned from a round-the-world trip, taking thousands of photographs and producing a series of sketchbooks.
This experience is now informing her current body of work; where colour, traces, landscape and light are key areas for investigation.
