Artestart has been created by Catherine Tutton and Helen Poulteney who met when studying for their Masters in Fine Art at the University for the Creative Arts in Canterbury. Both are highly experienced Art Tutors who have taught in local colleges and schools in Kent. In 2017 Catherine and Helen felt that there was a need in the local community for art classes to be available, to those of all ages, who wanted to draw and paint.

 

"Our aim is provide art classes designed for beginners and those more experienced artists who wish to gain new skills and confidence in the use of a variety of media."

Workshops have been developed in drawing, colour, printing and 3D, additionally after-school classes are offered to support studying GCSE and A level examinations or just for those who wish to develop their artist skills. Individual tuition can be provided by arrangement. Guidance can also be given on portfolio building for university applications.

 

Additionally artestart can develop creative workshops for schools and clubs to support learning.
